Captain Mustang looks like a good budy in this fic. Please, pleeease, keep on portraying the characters this way, you're doing it great. Besides (and that may only be my point of view, because I was searching for royai stuff when I found The Peacemaker), focusing on more characters and on others than the basic ones is a nice detail.

Is just me, or does it look like something right here is based on One Piece's Monkey D. Dragon's story?

This is a really good story. I would have never thought of it but this is truly amazing! very unique. I loved Kain's story even though it was very sad but that just gives me hope for the future. I guess it is good for Al and Ed to have someone they can relate to. I wonder why everyone else joined the crew and what their back story is. And heymans? why does he get sick alot? i bet it has to do with his sotry. Oh I am so excited. It was really well written and I can't wait till more!
