Bravo! This was emotionally brilliant except the third chapter which had me sobbing. So wait ... that must make it "brilliant-er"!

Don't take this the wrong way but, I truly hope I've read everything of yours for now for The Musketeers because, quite frankly, I don't think I can take any more at this moment. The emotions you capture, especially with Porthos and Aramis, are so loving and pure and honest and, in my opinion, probably exist because of their dangerous positions in life as musketeers. They share joys, sorrows, hardships, deaths, and their lives without competition from wives, children, jobs, etc. They are truly brothers.

Wow what a fantastic story - so much emotion in just 4 chapters! You have a knack of writing just what needs to be said without making it too flowery or unbelievable. I've read this story about 5 times now and it never fails to amaze me. I love it!

This was a masterpiece-you write these characters so true to form, with just enough emotion to wrench our hearts but keeping their voices sound. Loved every word. Thanks for sharing!

I have to tell you that you are an absolute master of the relationships between the Musketeers. This was achingly beautiful.

Good so far. I hope you will have a Porthos D'Artagnan moment as well before he is up and about! :)

Just rereading this, as I'm bereft of my musketeers, and have fallen deeply for Porthos. This is a wonderful story. I'm only just realising I didn't comment when I first read - sorry about that. I love the way you depict the relationships between the boys, especially Porthos and Aramis, but Also love seeing how much Athos is effected here too, and how much Porthos has managed to break through his defences and make him laugh! Going to reread all your musketeers fics, hope you have a few new ones on the way!

I think I stumbled across this on AO3, but if I didn't tell you there, this was really well done and a satisfying read. Congrats. Wouldn't mind reading more from you.

This was better than just about every other story I've read in this section with the exception of a very few. We need more stories and writing like this.

I can't find word to describe how much I love it:) It's just perfect and hit me right in the feels.
