I think your interpretation was nicely done. It could go either way for William but more than likely it would have to be his strong faith that had him waiting. Then again, I can see Julia testing his limits and poking the bear to see how far he would go. :) Good job!

This was great! I just started watching this show when I was home with my Mom last month. I've been watching the newer ones on Mondays and catching up on the old ones every other night. So you nailed it. They waited:)

I did like this one for at least two reasons: it's you and you are writing about one of my all-time favourite TV shows. Unlike Castle, the writing on the show hasn't deteriorated over 6 seasons and the male lead is as yummy as when they started the show.

I've been thinking about your ending a/n. I always assumed they'd long since consummated their relationship - long before she decamped to Buffalo or married Darcy, but i couldn't figure out why i thought so. Tonight's rerun on CITY reminded me. It was The Green Muse from season 2; the episode where Julia and William conduct an experiment with absinthe while on a picnic and are shown kissing passionately on the picnic blanket (and discussing the need for 'protection'.)

I totally think you nailed (snicker, pun not intended) them both. I think William would wait. He's alluded to it on a number of occasion when most men would have long ago given in many, many times. I also think you captured his mindset perfectly with the statement, "I read". He so would and would be amazing at it like he is with all the other theories, ideas and explorations he's read about.
Having this written from Julia's perspective made it ring all the more as a real possibility, as well. I could hear her voice in my head making the comparison to Darcy and truly appreciating William's skills in yet another area of their lives.

Delightful, if a little too short! William never rejects the idea of sex outside marriage; in fact, his comments in 'The Green Muse' suggest the opposite.

First of all congratulations on this being your first fanfiction, you obviously have a lot of talent for writing.

I really like this, it is very sensual and conveys the deep emotions and love of both William & Julia.

The only thing I didn't get is "…because it takes her some time to manage it.."

Otherwise my only regret is that this story is way too short ;)
