This is THE HopeLight headcanon post-LR. Everything is so perfect and well-done and in-character and I got hit by the feels train every few paragraphs. I love the way you write Hope and Light, and the way their beautiful relationship finally evolved into love. GAHHHH I'm so happy right now

Thank you so much for writing this! I've spent quite a lot of time recently reading through all the various Hoperai fics that are out there, but there's just something about this story that keeps bringing me back to it. Spot-on characterization, a very natural relationship development, beautiful and moving romantic scenes and a happy end have made it probably my fave Hoperai fic ever.

Although since Tracer of Memories has come out, it has become slightly AU, this is how I'd like to imagine their relationship unfolds after they meet up at the train station. Especially because it's Lightning, I feel it would be OOC for her to immediately be able to jump into a romantic relationship, particularly as she hasn't ever interacted with Hope in his true appearance before, so I really like the way that you've done it here, in a more gradual way. Lightning getting teased (particularly by Snow and Fang) was also amusing and heartwarming at the same time and the scene with Fang giving her advice was also great.

It would have been nice to see a version of this story more from Hope's POV as well to somewhat fill out the blanks, but given what we know about what happened to him at the hands of Bhunivelze I think most fans would be able to imagine his thoughts during that part of the story anyway. In any case, this story is perfection and it will definitely stay in my memory for whenever I think of this amazing OTP.

I swear I had butterflies in my stomach the whole time I was reading this. This was just too cute and so sweet! I love how you made the interactions between Hope and Light seem so natural and how you developed their relationship. This has to be one of Hope x Light stories that I like the most and I could see this staying with me for a long time. Thanks for making me smile with this marvellous piece :)
