Aw! I love fics that deal with the effect Atem leaving has on Yuugi and the others. And you write wishship so well! There's such an intimacy even to Yuugi and Jou's friendship, so I like the kind of tentative worry that gets provoked in them when they try to make a jump into romance. How long Jou pretends sleeping curled up together doesn't mean more to him, because he's willing to accept what they have already and afraid of messing it up. So cute!

i favourited this forever ago & just decided to reread it & dear god im so in love with this. your writing style is immaculate. i can pluck out specific moments in this that truly blew me away with their greatness, but it's really the greatness of it all strung together that got to me (plus it was super cute & im grinning like a doofus).

I love this pairing but it's hard to find it, but usually mostly people who really enjoy it wrote for it and the few that are out there tend to be amazing, including this one. Your pacing was great, and you really captured Yuugi and Jounouchi well, I honestly wouldn't have guessed you've never read the manga or seen the Japanese from how well you got them down. It was sweet with a hint of realism and just over all wonderfully written.

You pegged Jou pretty much perfectly IMO. His subtle lack of confidence and overly worrying about Yuugi was spot-on (and HEARTBREAKING).

Yuugi putting up his front was also perfect. AND THE SECOND-TO LAST SCENE OMGGGGGggggg. You're such a talented writer! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry about this some more.
