Wow. Incredibly disappointed. You should have put a warning in the summary for "unhappy ending." I agree with the previous guest reviewer ... I don't mind angst but I thought you were leading us to a happier resolution and then, BAM! I feel like I invested all my time into this fic (and I was really enjoying it too) and then I get this ..."ending." It's like watching Lost all over again, ugh.

I am not going to lie, that ending was such a bittersweet let down, and I do mean bitter. This whole fanfiction was strongly depressing, and don't get me wrong it was written so well, so well in fact it pulled on your heart strings in the correct moments. . . but that ending was just over the top depressing in my view point, I felt like you dragged me out in all this depression and hope for a happy ending, and then you just let it go. And for me personally, I don't come to read bitter endings. I wish there would have been a warning ahead of time. I can do with depressing in the middle, even a touch of tragedy at the end, and don't get me wrong i'm not a fan of sherlolly fluff ( I like some good tragedy) but if I want a bittersweet ending I could just watch the show, and even that had more hope then your ending.
So I will just look at this fanfiction as the middle to the actual show, and have the "I love you" from the show be the ending to this fiction, in my head that is.

A beautiful ending, but so bittersweet. Everyone can see their love, yet they hide it. In the scene below, when Mary recognizes the depth of their feelings for each other, Sherlock essentially admits his love while at the same time declaring it impossible, and it tore my heart out.

"It's for the best," he said before taking a sip and making a face at the disgusting canteen coffee.
"Is it?" Mary cocked a brow.
"That's what I tell myself everyday. It's what keeps me sane and her safe."

Your story was so beautiful. I just wish there could have been a happier ending.

This was too good. Look what ya did. You dragged me in and did this. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved all of this and you are a very talented writer! I just hate/love the torture this ending brings me ;p

Oh I'm so glad that you finish this story. Had to read a few chapters back to get to the story again. I love the dynamic between these two and Andy is a great addition. What heartwrenching moments between Molly and Sherlock. Can't wait to read the last chapter though I'm sorry that it finishes.

Ok I know this is really odd, but I've been singing Come on Eileen all day since I heard it on the radio this morning and I laughed really loud when I red what they were dancing to. Weird coincidence. Anyways, loving it so far! I was gonna comment on chapter 20 after I read it all but this was too weird not to share.

Please don't break my heart this way. They both love each other so much. They can't let it end like this. They need to find a way.
