Beautifully written

OMG! The part with Bucky and the security guard at the museum is one of my favorite "scenes" of almost any fic I've read (and I've read a lot of fic). That was amazing. Kept wondering, does he know who he's talking to, I think he does and he did. Awwww.

And, of course, Steve would know the security guard.

Oh, now Fury is in the mix? Ever since I read the comics (which was quite recent), I've wanted Fury to call Bucky "Kid" and help him.

Well written story! I liked Martin, the little match maker. I can well imagine the confusion Buck is in...but he keeps coming back, just like Steve said. I had hoped for a longer story :) You stopped when things could have gotten very interesting again. Now I will have to use my imagination. Thanks for sharing and keep writing!

Breathtaking. I really love the way you write Bucky. He's so lost, confused, and so unsure of himself, and yet, he does know Steve. And Steve is sure enough for both of them...to the point of desperation. Wonderful.

This was excellent in every way. I especially liked the scenes in the Smithsonian, and how Martin interacted with both Bucky and Steve and gave them both the wisdom they needed. Thanks for such a great read!

This is absolutely perfect and really hit all the right notes. I loved the bit where Steve started leaving things out for Bucky at night to read and to eat, and how there were little signs of him being there. You really got the mix of hope and disappointment in there for Steve. And Stan Lee's museum security guard appearance was terrific too, how he recognized Bucky and all. His conversation with Bucky was the best thing in this entire fic, especially the part when he let on that he knew Bucky was, well, Bucky and that Cap was searching for him too. This was excellent and the slow growth of Bucky towards accepting himself and accepting Steve again was, although not yet complete, very well done and well paced. Love this!
