Fascinating! This is the epitome of the Caskett love stories.

Why? Well, I 'll mention several that are the most important to me. First, while canon has told us so much (but not all, apparently) about Kate's history, about all it says about Rick's are about Meredith and Alexis; the fact that Rick was the product of his mother's one-night-stand with an unidentified father and the history of his childhood as the bastard son of an itinerant actress; and his subsequent problems this caused him at school while growing up. This leaves most of Rick's adulthood and the marriage with Gina. This story not only fills in the gaps in Rick's history, but even adds some very interesting facts about Kate's, not previously known, or even considered before this author brought them up.

Secondly, while we've seen a lot about the Caskett romance on TV and in the many books and FanFiction stories, NONE was like this one. That is, while they were in one dimension (e.g., we get to see and hear the physical acts and the conversation only) This one has three dimensions (e.g., in addition to those already discussed, this one includes the FULL mental processes of the two lovers during their romance. We not only learn of the thoughts of the two lovers concerning statements or acts of the other toward them but we also become privy to the motives and plans/tactics that induced the putative lover to make them. Not surprisingly this adds whole new dimensions to the story because we not only know why, but we learn the reactions of both parties when these statements/actions are misinterpreted or received in an unexpected way. This, without a doubt, gives a whole new perspective of all of the real-life hurdles both lovers faced in their efforts to create a romantic attachment in their proposed lover for themselves. It's a wonder they were able to overcome these hangups both had from their past histories.

Lastly (and certainly NOT least), This is the hottest "M" love story for Rick and Kate I've read in either book or fanfiction. Sure, there is a lot of hot "M" writing about these two, but this author makes everything so plausible and realistic. Yet, while sometimes quite graphic the author always keeps it emotional - love (rather than pure lust) and describes the action in a most tasteful manner. While it is a long story, I'm sure you'll find the time spent reading it quite entertaining. The story flows smoothly throughout from start to finish and I never found much of anything at all that was boring, or unnecessary.

Such a beautiful chapter

Hello. I just have to say that I have just recently read this story and it was absolutely fantastic. Just like your others, especially the other long ones like What's in A Name? the work you put into them is astounding. You grip us into the story and the emotional twists and turns leave you exhausted but wanting to read more. Thank you for bringing these AU versions of our favourite couple to life, in many ways better than the canon version.

I haven't started this chapter yet. Just like the episode I knew what was coming Castle had miscalculated and by now my stomach and nerves never did well when these two character were at odds. Hulu started carring Castle when it first came out so sometimes I would wait a few days after it aired to watch. This was when I had realized this was the first series I had ever invested in. It took me by surprise . After watching Stana Katics facial expression s in the first episode about why she became a cop that's what hooked hook line and sinker. I found everything she had been in she was riveting to watch. Well I guess it's time to go all in, your gonna make me cry aren't you? Thank you.

Before chapter 49 I realized Sorenson would not be able to kiss Beckett without Castle going to jail and Beckett has too much integrity to cheat even if Castle is not sure of her . I really love how you have made this play out. Sorenson was not a fav of mine either that take care of everything for the little woman attitude rubbed me the wrong way but being brought up by a single mother had a lot to do with .
