Powerful and unsettling piece. And the way you tied in everything to Fallout canon was flawless. This could have easily been the true story behind Vault Boy. As far as the subject matter, you handled his account in the most mature and realistic way possible. You certainly have a knack for heavy topics like this, and this story deserves more recognition.

Wow I've never read anything like this! You're always so good with lore and canon that I'd totally believe if this was actually how Vault Boy came to be. His story is sad, but you did a great job showing the dark side of the foster care system and what can happen to orphans who aren't adopted. I don't think this was controversial at all. It was written realistically and tastefully. Great work!
