I have to stop here and say that I love the humanity you give to Clark as Superman. (And your writing is fantastic!) I never watched Lois and Clark before I broke my leg last month and got relegated to the couch - now I've been binge watching it and love it!

I LOVE that Clark spoke up for himself, and voiced that he was not a monster. He just takes so much of the ridiculous accusations through the years, I was so proud of him for standing up for himself. Though it is heartbreaking to see how hard that was for him. And I love how he finally gets angry at Lois when he is defending Clark!
But Lois's speech to him is wonderful and beautiful and perfect and amazing!
This story has so clearly shown the two entities of Clark and Superman. I love how you have shown Clark is the hero, and Superman is the mask. It is so true, and you really show it beautifully.
Man, that ending though...

Yikes, the fears of Superman! To be faced with Lois's accusations, and then to face his worst nightmare... Talk about torture!
The way you write his claustrophobia is really intriguing, and such a valid fear for a powerful man who flies through the heavens!
I love that Lois say's, 'Clark' the moment they are alone. She has really come through for him, like always! Though she had me scared there for a bit!
The hero paragraph is probably my favorite of the series so far. I love it! Though I think Jonathan should be in there:)

Wow! You so perfectly show the essence of Superman in this chapter by killing Clark. Clark is the heart and soul of Superman, he is the hero behind the cape. You showcased so well the horrible loss it would be to lose Clark! Absolutely amazing!

I put off writing a review to this for a while because I couldn't find the words to truly express how wonderful this story is. Your writing is utterly captivating and your vision of Clark is so in tune with my own that I know I'll be rereading this story again in the near future. You are a fantastic writer and I love all the metaphors and analogies that really add emotion to the story.

In my opinion, Clark's self doubt is such a big part of who he is and I think you captured his emotions perfectly.

Wow. This is so extremely well-written, so heart-wrenching, so... Wow. I want to quote all of it. His pain, the reality of his life and what it all means, being weak, lying to everyone... All of it. Just wow.

This is so hard. I love this chapter and your in-depth look at this man.
These sentences were so powerful:"And she knew it. She was looking right at him, at this moment, and she knew just how much of a lie he lived in either guise, knew just how unqualified he was for both of his lives, knew just exactly who he was even if she wouldn't admit it."

Wow. Awesome first chapter, so many issues, I love it!

So beautiful, that it was her words equating him with Lex /Claude coinciding with Lex stabbing him that first made Clark lose hope...and then the whole long journey of physical healing coinciding with their relationship ultimately being healed. I could imagine this being an entirely different but equally heartwrenchingly beautiful story if told from Lois's POV.
