I think you wrote the characters perfectly. Damian is somewhat blind when it comes to much else outside of his own personal interests, and the fact that their win wasn't exactly glorious was almost totally foreign to him.
I love how you had Dick explain it to him with that analogy! That was so sweet and clever!

That's deep... And perfectly describes exactly what war leaves behind...Just out of curiosity; what exactly did you envison happened? I mean I know it was a war of sorts... but against aliens or other people..? Or didn't you really think of that?
