I don't know if it's because I'm an adult now, Beauty and The Beast was NEVER my favorite Disney movie, or it's Luke Evans may be bith but Belle and Gaston are my favorite pair. This is now one of my favorite stories as well.

Cool Story, but although believable still unrealistic in character development. Just needed more, as it seemed way to quick ans odd. I know Gaston can change but not that fast. The part with the Beast bribing D'Arque made no sense to me. But i loved how his curse broke through the love of his friends and servants! Good job!

This was a beautiful, fun, easy read. Gaston was the least-developed character in the movie, and I love how you rounded him out, tempering his flaws with good, solid character traits. I loved how the changes in him were subtle and believable, and how he became an advocate for the townspeople who loved him so much. You really got in his head and showed his rationale in a way that I could believe. I also love how the Beast was presented exactly as he was in the beginning of the movie, because his character development was delayed due to not falling in love with Belle. Beautiful work all around.

I just found this today, so I got to read it all in one go (assuming it's over now). I love it! Gaston is actually my favorite character in Beauty and the Beast. Just, his song. How can you not love that? I like this take on him as self assured instead of arrogant, and able to actually love Belle for who she is. And who better than Gaston to take on adventures? Although I hope he will eventually get his cozy cottage too. He seems so set on it.
