MeerkatMario chapter 27 . 7/12/2018
This fanfiction can easily be adopted into a feature-length movie. Great work, y'all!
CayStar chapter 27 . 5/17/2018
You did a brilliant job with this covering all the aspects of the world ending and Panem emerging. I love how you ended with the (false) sense of hope in the Capitol, and frustrations brewing in the districts. I truly enjoyed this story, grim as the subject matter was.
CayStar chapter 26 . 5/17/2018
So... somewhere down the line, Katniss is related to Snow?! That would make canon that much more interesting if he knew- if he’d kept up with his family line, which I think he would.
CayStar chapter 16 . 5/16/2018
Ok, I go from kind of understanding where the Capitol is coming from in the last chapter, to totally seeing where the future district issues arise in this chapter. Again, completely fascinating.
CayStar chapter 7 . 5/16/2018
Perfect- I can picture it all.
CayStar chapter 4 . 5/15/2018
This is fascinating! The names, the sites, even the practical development of the force field. It’s almost disorienting seeing how you’re carrying the current modern world into the cataclysm and dark days.
AcheronThirteen chapter 20 . 11/15/2016
Wow. I had just been skimming this, but the italics of this chapter caught my eye, so I decided to stick around and read the chapter's entirety. All I can say is, wow. This is awesome. I mean, I wouldn't want this to actually happen, of course, but this is beautifully written. It's interesting, realistic, and well developed. Nice job!
Guest chapter 12 . 4/17/2016
Alright. I see what's happening here. The functioning cities are the ones that will become the centers of their respective Districts, and the city with nukes is District 13.
Gypan chapter 27 . 11/8/2015
I enjoyed your end of the world as we know it story. Thank you.
Vwchick chapter 27 . 10/28/2015
Really Great Story! While reading the Hunger games books, I always wondered what had happened to the world that the USA collapsed and that Panem became the nation. So happy you wrote this and I could see it all happening like you wrote. The only thing I wish you had included is Why did they start doing a "Hunger Games?" Why did paneam decide to start gladiator games with children? What was their president thinking? And we'll there is more questions along that line. I hope maybe you will decide to write that? Thanks so much for this story!
Vwchick chapter 7 . 10/23/2015
I am so amazed with the detail and great writing you wrote that chapter! I think you made a great choice by not including characters for the end of the world scene, if you had, that could have been a book.
Vwchick chapter 4 . 10/5/2015
Great story so far.! Always wondered how paneam got started , this is a super way to explain it, and it's written amazingly - wonderful job! Off to read more! Thank you!
Oisin55 chapter 27 . 4/27/2015
Yay I finally got to finish this.

You did a great job with this piece. You managed to incorporate pretty much every little part of the Hunger Games world and then some. From the meaning behind Panem to the little things like Susanna Snow talking about being completely honest, you managed to flesh out the origin of Panem better than anyone I've ever read. You also did a great job wrapping up all the loose threads in the end.

Hope you consider writing some original work in the meantime. Great work again.
BamItsTyler chapter 27 . 4/7/2015
Hey Bruce! Congrats on finishing Ragnarok.

This miniseries was PERFECT! I'm a stickler for politics so this kinda did it for me. Judging by your age, of course everything was accurate to fine detail.

At first, I thought Susanna was conniving and that the relationship with Julius was a fluke (She's a Snow for crying out loud!) but in the end the relationship was more legitimate than we thought. I thought the baby was going to be named Coriolanus but I guess we need to wait a couple more decades for that to start.

You took us through your typical "doomsday" scenario, with the drifters, religious "Fundies" and the short period of unrest until the government was stabilized, again all with perfect detail.

Gee, 5 presidents in a series of months? Talk about unstable. And I didn't notice that J.C only served a couple weeks until he got "John Wilkes Booth'ed" by his Aide... for retaliation against Operation Sodom and Gomorrah? Who knew Trinket of all people would be chosen as President, I didn't. It seems that everything worked out in the end. York's children lead okay lives, the daughter not so much. But all the ancestors of the Canon characters are resided in their home Districts... although I think Dr. Mitchell is currently upstate? I don't know.

All in all, this was all so interesting from start till finish. Oh Susanna, if only you knew about that statement... if only you knew. Again I'm still iffy on the Peacekeepers, I wish the Hunger Games universe were more descriptive about other peoples lives (A TV SERIES WOULD DO AWESOME...but one could dream right?), I wonder if Panem ever had a Navy, or tanks and other military hardware... a ranking system would've been nice too..

ANYWAYS, I'M RAMBLING! You amazed me here Bruce and I can't wait to see what you have in stored for us after this project!
Dame Selena chapter 27 . 4/7/2015
The prologue bit was nice, reminded me of the between chapter text of Fire Emblem video games.
Why are the preppers given so much power? Who are they? A cop, and a doctor? Why not phD's or people in the old senate?

When you started describing the coin denominations, I started thinking of the Knut's, sickles, and galleons in Harry Potter. I like your currency, kind of gives it a fantasy feel.

It was good how you dropped the word seam twice, we can see how their neighbourhood got that nickname.

"Relief from obesity"? Clever joke.

I noticed that apparently there's some shrinkage of production they send to the Capitol, is it pests, thieves, or embezzlement?

As I whole I really can't comment. I feel I was wrong to read it chapter by chapter when it came out (cause who reads a book like that?) and can't give a fair review on whether or not I liked it or thought it was a good story.
