I really thought there were going to be major spoilers in this but there wasn't and it was awesome. I totally loved this story. Although I have to say all the Hotch/Rossi stories I've read, Rossi was the top and Aaron was the bottom. I liked seeing the reverse. Thank you.

As always, your ear for the voices of both Hotch and Dave was evident in this story. I could hear them especially strong in the opening, when they were still in the office... and I think that's because it's the environment in which I'm most used to seeing (and hearing) them. Canon, sadly, doesn't give us nearly enough glimpses into the lives of these two (Hotch, in particular) outside the realm of the BAU, so I'm glad they have writers like you who can let them get away from it all for some R&R! (I will admit, though, that my mind conjured an image of Hotch in a pair of board shorts and a tie, and Dave in a Speedo (I know... that's just soooo wrong!) and I can't shake it! :))

I enjoyed how you incorporated your prompts, especially using Blake's departure as one of the causes of Hotch's malaise; nice tie-in to the season finale. I also liked how you used the balance of the prompts; both of them are trained observers of people and their actions, so it made a ton of sense that they'd notice the neon-clad couple on the balcony and, later, on the beach.

Mmm... food porn! :) I always end up hungry after reading one of your stories containing mention of a meal!

I think Hotch and Dave together are magic... Hotch and Dave *together* as you wrote them here is HOT! :) Thanks for giving me a great story to start the day... even though I might have to make my shower a bit cooler than I normally would! ;)
