Sorry I didn't see this story before. Great one shot of the Security Officer being reprogrammed and beginning to go Rampant. I like the idea that him knowing he was a cyborg that had to follow orders seemingly allowed him to disobey those orders. Well done!

Of the three ‘Marathon’ games I’m the least familiar with ‘Infinity’, so keep that in mind in the event of me saying anything stupid. On the plus side, I haven’t seen ‘The Winter Soldier’ so there won’t be any exclamations of “where I have I seen this before?” or whatnot.

Anyway:

-Well it’s nice to know that Tycho lives up to his mantra of rhyming with psycho. 0_0

-Unfortunately, aside from that, there’s not much more I can say. Probably could if I’d played ‘Infinity’ to any great extent, but take what you can get I guess.

That said, for what it’s worth, I think it’s mostly well done. Parts of the torture kinda touch on “torture porn” territory, but with Durandal being your de facto ‘Marathon’ AI in most of your stories, your take on Tycho makes for a nice change. Sociopathic, sadistic, but not to excess, befitting his nature as an AI.
