I don't think it's dark and demonic. It certainly is however brilliant, beautiful, and indomitable. Her indecisive heart is controlled by two men. And she is doomed in the knowledge that she finds both of them irresistible. The striking awareness of this dilemma leads her to a state of utter helplessness. And perhaps that's what is a regrettable fate. I enjoyed your depiction of her suffering and agony. The dream had that enthralling effect, and the division of her heart, without her will, was portrayed impressively. Beautiful one shot! Keep up the excellence.

I like how you called it a curse. Because it kinda is her curse. Every thing goes back to atem's curse. Teana lost her lover and since Anzu is her reincarnation, she carries the thoughts and feelings teana did in the past. She not only must deal with loving atem's current incarnation but also his past self. If you think about it, she lost atem twice.

I like how you really dove into her torment on a psychological and symbolic level, showing what she was really thinking and feeling. You really captured her emotions very well. I can see her having a dream like this in the anime. But man that dream was super intense. I can't blame her for being shaken up after awaking up from it.

Though, as a heads up, you didn't mark the story as complete, so you might wanna go back and fix that unless you are planning to add more onto this later.
