Reviews for Where is Hermione?
Baelorfan chapter 1 . 5/4
This doesn't make sense. Hermione believes that the Wizardung world will not accept a Muggleborn wife for the Chosen One and therefore Obliviates Harry after they have sex. She then disappears off to search for her parents without letting Harry know. Just leaving a "I'm sorry". She has and raises a daughter without informing the baby's father. She then suddenly decided that Lily needs her father and returns.

I can believe - stretching her imagination - that Hermione thinks that the Wizarding world will not accept a Muggleborn wife for its Savior. But that decision needs to be rooted in some facts. Such as seeing Harry and Ginny Weasley together, or hearing people make assumptions about her relationship with Harry (calling her a slut for living with two wizards on the run).

I can't believe that Hermione would refuse to tell Harry about his daughter, then suddenly decide that Harry needs to know his eleven year old. Or that living in Australia or New Zealand, her daughter would get a letter from Hogwarts. There are just too many plotholes here.

It's possible that Hermione feels rejected by the British Wizarding world. That she gets bad news about her parents and has to stay on. That she falls ill herself. That she doesn't expect her non British domiciled child to get a Hogwarts letter.

But without these details, we have an irresponsible Hermione breaking Harry's heart. Not consistent with canon not with fanlore. An OOC Hermione is acceptable but with sufficient details. (I have read stories about a self-righteous Hermione who destroys Harry's life, a thieving Hermione who steals from Harry and spies on him, a bespelled Hermione who is Dumbledore's faithful echo, and so forth. These make sense given the framework of narrative, the motivation attributed to the character etc).

Pretty good and realistic introspection.
Pointer3109 chapter 1 . 1/24
Obliviation is much, much worse than just leaving.

I particularly liked the line about never obliviating a loved one.

Truthfully, I doubt Hermione would have expected time to stand still. Still makes for a good story.

This make me feel... things... such as; "Ha Rekt bitch" and "What did you expect to happen?"
burnnotice chapter 1 . 10/14/2019
too bad there isn't a second chapter where he ends up married to both Gabrielle and Hermione after learning to trust her again.
SereniteRose chapter 1 . 9/2/2019
well you wrote it and it sucked big time you portrayed Hermione as a bad person for leaving, when Hermione would never act that way, Harry was the asshole that married a gold digging french girl who's a stuck up french girl, I am sorry but I really didn't like the Hermione bashing you had going in this story, Hermione is the best character in the HP world and everyone her age sucks, Gabrielle an ugly name by the way, Harry's the dick, and you are not a very good writer if you Hermione bash. and please don't responed with a message for me this my opinion and I live in a free country, this is not Trumps country yet so it's still a free country no matter what anyone says, so If you message me I will just delete it. have a perfect day.

Found this on TV Tropes a long time ago and wished I had favorited this sooner. Thank you. I'm not really familiar with this troupe, but I think it's wrong that a woman leaving their loved one with their unborn child and then coming back a long time later makes everything better.
comodo50 chapter 1 . 5/11/2019
Liked the fic. Regarding the A/N, recall reading one where Harry ends up alone as an hermit after HG rejected him. Was a sad fic, too

Owkeeeyyy
Esploratore chapter 1 . 2/13/2019
Obliviating harry and trying to get away with him? Hermione asked for everything she got in this one!
Nighty chapter 1 . 1/18/2019
As much as I'd like to read more tales where Hermione gets called out on for some of her nastier habits and issues (obliverating her parents gets completely glossed over by a simple 'she found them after the war'), her almost outright hate of Harry outdoing her in potions with the HBP's book (wasn't she always complaining that Harry and Ron didn't try hard enough for five books) and some quite truly brutal attacks on people not deserving (birds on Ron just because he was a bit too lovely-dovely with Lavender) I don't think this was what I was looking for given that Hermione feels too out of character for it to work right.

Plus some logic issues like not actually obliverating her parents (how'd she get them to leave seeing as they had an established business) not telling them it was safe when she reunited with them (lack of memory altering means so new life to destroy) and the staying for a full eight years without saying a thing (why? Just why?)

Sorry, as much as I think that Hermione is the worst of the Trio (we see Harry's POV and enough of Ron to show his feelings of inadequacy; Hermione gets almost nothing save maybe one line a book) the one shown here doesn't even feel like her for the story to work as intended.

Never obliviate a loved one? She didn't love Harry. She left and still dares to claim she 'waited'.
Kairan1979 chapter 1 . 10/26/2018
Glad to see that's not Harry the Doormat who instantly forgives. Honestly I don't know what Hermione was thinking.
benrobbins77 chapter 1 . 9/29/2018
A little slice of reality in the soup of BS that is HP canon/fanon. Very nice.
Just one reader chapter 1 . 8/31/2018
A good story, featuring two Hermiones and a Harry with spine. Hermione's attitude toward Harry is understandable: why, she's frightened by the fact that a magical community has been dominated by racists; they are on a suicide mission (damn Dumbledore); a friend abandons them; they hear on the radio what is happening in the magical community. It's not hard for her to break up and sleep with the boy she loves was a question, in this to you a desperate and insecure Hermione who believes it to be a mistake and runs away from reality.

The second Hermione corresponds to a Repentant Herminha who, after the letter from Hogwarts recognizes her daughter's existence with Harry, seeks to return to a safe haven, note that according to the story, she has never again re-joined by 10 - 11 years . The detail matches the fact that she ran and hid, hid from Harry (strong desire to establish a family) that had a daughter. This Hermione did not recognize the impact that her choices had, as a result she did not realize until it was too late that she had what she wanted and threw away.

Moral of the story: never make important choices based on insecurity and / or fear, you will just regret it.
