Ahh man great chapter but it sucks that we have to wait for another one. I am currently playing P4 Golden so i am in a mood to read anything Persona

You can't imagine how happy I was when I saw that this fic had been updated! And what a chapter!

I really like how the friendship between Kanji and Rei is progressing. It feels like they will become true friends that have each other's back. Kanji must be the only person that Rei can tell about her "nighttime activities", and it seems like he doesn't shun her for it at all. In fact, he understands her need to fight. The scene where Kanji is teaching Rei how to sow is really good, too. I'm glad that you took the time to show how Rei helped Kanji after the incident.
I wonder what the reactions of Rise and Daisuke will be to the idea of Kanji and Rei being a couple? It'll be very funny, I'll bet!

Ebihara finally got to go to the TV world! And she made a Scooby Doo reference, which is just awesome! The talk she had with Rei before was very productive, I feel. They are much, much closer than Rei and Yukiko or Chie, I agree with what Ebihara said. Somehow, it feels like Rei doesn't have that much synergy with the "main team" yet, although she fits right in with Ebihara, Kou and Daisuke. I don't know if that will damage the TV team in the future, but I hope not. It does seem like Chie is beginning to understand Rei a bit better though. Maybe after Rise finally arrives, she can help Rei get along with Chie even more. I feel like if the both of them really became friends, then the team would benefit a lot from it.

The camping trip will be interesting!

Nanako, I would die for you. How can she be so cute? Her and Rei's relationship is one of my favourites in the whole story. I love seeing them bonding by cooking together! Btw, Yuuta's reaction will be quite a thing to see!

I can't wait for Rise to finally transfer to the school. I wonder how many things her presence will change? Hopefully Rei stops seeing her as "Risette" soon, it seems like she still hasn't grown out of that.

There were a lot of good character interactions here. It's nice to see rei and her uncle getting along better and I love the friendship between this and kanji.

Thanks to Persona 4 Golden being on Steam, I finally got the chance to play it. And with it, to read some fanfics about it.

Gonna start by saying that this is easily one of the best Persona fics in this site. Most just go word by word what happens in the games, rarely go out of the canon events, etc. Yours on the otherside added so much content, interaction and bonds between characters that I found myself wanting to read more of this fic, instead of playing the game. Oftenly I found myself wishing some of the situations and events happened just as your story.

I tend to read OC stories, they're a guilty pleasure of mine, especially because they can influence the plot and make changes. But instead, you did a great job with the OG characters. Added layers, backstory, flaws. It's so good.

I am curious about something though. In the first chapter, you introduced Yosuke's father as an intolerant person for any and all homosexual behaviours. I thought it was going to come in conflict between Kanji and Yosuke, but so far it hasn't (I think Yosuke would be wierded out, remembering his father's words and be a little presumptions of Kanji, maybe). Will it come to be? Also, Yosuke's sister. She's an OC, right? It's been a while since she had any relevancy, will she have a more prominent role?

I don't know. I'm mostly curious about it.

No offense, but I feel Rei gets away a little too easy sometimes for her behaviour. Most times it's what makes her endearing, sometimes though... yeah. But, that's also what I love about her. I've read some P5 (nothing for P3 and P4) fanfics where they give the MC a personality, but Rei's personality have so many shades of gray that I can't help but love it. Not edgy and emo, and not outgoing and kind, as many others tend to do.

I think you ruined the game for me. When I play and see the characters, I think of the portrayal you gave them, and I feel dissapointed because the game doesn't allow me to connect with them the way you did in your story.

Ahhhh man i love this story. I have been planning on doing another playthrough of persona 4 golden and your fic just fired me up.
I have binged this fic from start to finish in a few days and i can't wait for few things
1. Rise's arrival and her joining the team
2. Her and Rei's romance i always love Yuri stories
3. WTF happened during Rei's birth

With being the Wild Card, you would expect them to be slightly more tankier than the rest, but I can see why Atlus didn't do it, would make the early game easier.

I don't see why you should be able to punch your own shadow and frankly, we don't see anyone else punch their shadow.

I've probably said this before, but Kanji and his story is great. You did fine with the battle, a bit hard to follow, but that was probably down to reading bits at a time.

Aww love the Nanako focus and her interacting with Yuuta was a great idea. Rei's quite different personality (as compared to Mr. Blank Slate) changing things up consistently. The formation of the S Link with Kanji also felt a ton like a confidant forming in P5 so that was interesting (lets make a deal). I half expected Sae to start talking to Rei about how she must have had a delinquent friend who taught her to sew.

As always looking forward to reading more.

Got to say, Really enjoying the relax chapters so far. it gives a good cool down from the main story chapters. I'm also really happy that Rei and Ryotaro were able to make up somewhat, but not all the way to give more time later. So all in all, great job.

This was a fun chapter. Seeing Rei develop her relationship with Kanji and Naota.
While Youske is usually dedicated as the PC best friend. I always felt Kanji had a more meaningful dynamic. He's struggling to accept part of himself and the way Rei is written really help explore that further, since she also has a similar experience being judged. I look forward to seeing how that develops.

Also, it's cool to see what Rise is dealing with. We can usually infer from the games and anime that she was getting burned out. But it's good to see her talking about it more with someone.

Also, Rei having a sense of humor and she teases Kou was quite fun and a bit surprising.
And again, the conversations with Ai are always interesting.

As for the chapter, I'm glad we got some extra time with Nanako! She's so cute and her relationship with Rei is just adorable. That cooking scene is simply heartwarming.
Good to see that the uncle is also coming around, somewhat at least. I hope he listens to his co-worker and Rei though. He's kinda an absent father to Nanako, it's a little sad.
Can't wait to see Yuuta's reaction at discovering that the girl from the day care is Nanako's big sis!
It already seems like Kanji is closer with Rei then either Chie or Yukiko are with her, but I guess that's kinda a given? I mean, Kanji and Rei have more things in common than Chie or Yukiko with Rei. On that note, hopefully those three girls won't be so awkward with each other one day.

This was a fine chapter. I didnt really enjoy it that much, but to be honest, I'm really only here for the Rise ship that you set up way back at the start. I'm a patient person (I waited for Kingdom Hearts 3, that would turn anyone into a patient person), so I understand that this is all character development, and you're free to do as much of that as you want. But I don't think I'll really be all that engaged with this fic until Rise finally gets the spotlight back. Until then, reading these updates feels like going through all the days left in the time limit after finishing a palace in 3 days - still engaging, but a bit dull, with a sense that I'm waiting for excitement that has been "just around the corner" for a while. That's the main reason why I didn't want to leave a review last time.
