cair7 chapter 1 . 8/5/2014 This was wonderful-I love fics that show Gimli's tender side, and this one does it in spades. What a thoughtful gesture. A priceless gift worth more than its weight in mithril! |
jada951 chapter 1 . 8/5/2014 a true friend understands and can give a gift that will be treasured, even if it comes in a plain wrapping. And for L's dad to have Gimi come and do it? Amazing! a gift in and of itself! |
Lissa chapter 1 . 8/4/2014 Aww, NiRi, this is just so sweet! I read it before, but very much enjoyed reading it again. :-) The idea of Thranduil and Gimli putting their heads together about the statue of Legolas' mother is very touching. |
Rosa Cotton chapter 1 . 8/4/2014 Aw, Gimli! That was lovely! |
BladedBlossom chapter 1 . 8/2/2014 Beautiful. I could really feel Legolas' mingled grief and joy and could identify with Gimli's nervousness. The conversation about the rapid blinking was great fun. Love the idea of Legolas not wanting a simpering girl as companion. Legolas musing that one can see better without all the eye movement was cute. Thanks for sharing. |
blackunicorne chapter 1 . 7/17/2014 An attentive father and a great friend working together for a special day when one of them will not be around to see the happy reaction of their cherished one, and, all of that, despite the difficult relationships and the bad history between the elves and the dwarves - great! |
