What a gripping story! Poor Aramis! Being trapped in a dark hole is bad enough, but being pinned under a rock in agony on top of that? AND haunted by the dead boy's eyes? If that isn't food for nightmares I don't know what is... Thanks for putting Athos there, to keep him company.

I finally started watching Musketeers after getting story alert after story alert for your stories LOL so after watching 1x04 I thought it would be safe to read one. I loved this, Aramis' guilt and also the way Arthos tries to reassure him when he has his own dark past to fight with. Can't wait to read more but I'm a bit scared of spoilers - any spoiler free fics you can recommend I read first?

That was the perfect ending to a wonderful story. I loved the inserts of the poem and the plot was simple yet very well written. Thank you for a great story

Oh, Athos and Porthos having to hold him down nearly broke my heart. "I told you Porthos was coming" put it back together again though, I adored Athos' determination through all of this, even if most of it was just to keep Aramis from falling apart (or, perhaps, especially because he did that).

Pandora's box references and song quotes are always amazing, I love them! Also, the boy's name, ah, clever, but ow, the feels. I really enjoyed this story, always love a bit of whump and happy endings, can't wait to see what else you come up with! :)

Ooh, Aramis' confessions really hit me, his recitation of verse was amazing, felt almost like he was having fever-induced hallucinations or something. Athos dealt with it well but it must have been pretty damn alarming for him, poor thing. Also, ugh, the guilt he must have had for knocking him out! I'm so happy they're out, and that Athos took the boy with him, hopefully it will soothe Aramis' nightmares somewhat.
