I really love this character study and also this theory for Urahara's bankai, probably more than his canon bankai XD

Damn. I am officially in love of your version of Benihime.

Benihime is everything Kisuke could be, but refused to. That line hit me bad. Although, her power was revealed to be actually 'reconstruction', something that is really helpful in defense, offense, and even support really speaks to how Kisuke is a catalyst, if not a major piece in the arcs of the story. He's an all-rounder in playing three roles, and it suits him pretty well but I think your version is just as terrifying as well. I believe that there has to be a certain connection between the shinigami and their zanpakuto and I love that you made it like it's a part of them- and in your Kisuke's case, it's a mirror of him although it's a darker, visceral part of him. It's the scientist part of him that is always thirsty for knowledge, and he consumes, takes in everything around him and make it to his advantage. Avarice indeed, and it's more terrifying how she takes easily and without a second glance.

Did I mention how I love this so much? Because I do. Really, it's become pattern to me that I get attached to characters that are severely underestimated under cheerful and harmless pretenses.

I just wanted to say that your take on Urahara and Benihime is beatifully chilling. The deeper hints on what a ban kai says about a person and Urahara specifically was very intriguing to consider as well.

It was sort of iffy, whether or not i should favourite this piece; I do not like raining favourites on potential authors like they are worth so little. I think what motivated me to do so was partially my appreciation of the work you have churned out so far, your writing voice, and the merits of this piece. I'll have to take a bit of a break, however; exams are coming up! I cannot allow even you to distract me! _ although i'm only lying to myself...

This is amazing. Flat out, the first thought I had once I finished. I've read a few stories where the authors give Urahara a Bankai, and a few where Urahara never uses his Bankai and it just isn't addressed. But this, this is totally different. It explains why he can't use it, and his thought process behind his decision not to use it, and it all comes together really well. It's awesome, seriously. Thanks for writing it.

Amazingly well written, I have to admit this is part of my headcannon! now, hopefully when Kubo decides to show off Urahara's Bankai for real he wont be to dissapointing.
