I loved this sooo much. Especially how you changed the story and made Yuuko meaner, as well as making Yukariko more evil and more sympathetic. The best part was Yuuko mass murdering the village as a ghost though.

God l dont even know what to say!
Such an emotional roller coaster ride dude!
Like l lo-*aware of Yuuko* ahm.. admired the fact that u made the fanfic of whole anime/manga n even continued it. Everything was great except few things;

1) did u intentionally change the plot n made yukariko the bad guy? Cuz as far as l remember , it was teiichi’s grandmom who ‘accidentally’ selected Yuuko by calling out her name n was saved instead by her.

2) did u have to make Yuuko a lil meaner ;-;) l like the Yuuko who was playful n kind, n not replusive to ‘love’ word.

3) on that note, why was she so replusive to ‘love’? Like cuz before Yukariko left her to die, she claimed to love her sister dearly? Hence why? U could’ve made that a lik clearer~

4)why is teiichi a pervy boy ._.)? Sure he is 13 n all n with Yuuko’s acts n all~ n then that line with ‘controlling his carnal urges’ xD what ‘carnal’ urges does a 13 year old have ?!

5)well done, on Yuuko’s past but ya’know~ u didnt portray enough desperation from her ( ladmit l almost cried again reading that scene but still) like how it was portrayed in anime; Her trying to escape but her broken leg didnt allow it, how Teiichi remained besides her n held her hand in his own, feeling each pain n emotion she felt.

6) AGAIN on that point!
Why did u make Yuuko so revenge driven? In the anime she pushed back her hatred with all her might n before dying even said, “ l have to remain positive”, n before she did die, she didnt curse anyone and rather died with a smile, cuz she didnt want to die as someone else but as someone she has been her whole life...(damn..l am crying again at this fact; her death scene had me crying so hard l had a headache later).

7)...where did her relation to the niiya family go? Aside from the doctor n all , l didnt see any close connection that would have Yukariko against the Niiya name. Ya’know like in anime, looking after his grandmom when she was just a sick child n going to look for her, saved her at cost of her own life n even after she did discover the relation of that girl n teiichi she said to him, “ l dont regret my actions if l could meet u like this”, as in she had no regret except having not live her life fully...due to those ignorant (many curses) villagers of her.

8)the way u portrayed teiichi’s emotions when writing his views on the villagers n whole ‘ People fear what they dont understand’ was so deep that it go me thinking; in the past, how many lives were uselessly thrown away due to their own wretched believes of offering sacrifice annually to please a mountain,land etc god? The hell! God doesnt need anything from us but praise and our thankfulness...

Overall, l applaud u for ur effort n time to write this fanfic; thank u! After every chapter l actually listened to its opening song xD l love that opeing sooooooo much! Like it fits the whole anime/fanfic to great heights!

I applaud you for taking the time to write a fanfic of very obscure anime/manga. Though not many people know of it you should be glad that those that did read the story enjoyed it immensely. Hope you continue writing.

I'd like to thank you for writing a full-length story based on Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. It's my favorite manga due to the fact that it touches upon all of the genres that I love: horror, suspense, mystery, supernatural and romance.

I found myself pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed the interactions with Teiichi’s mother. The scene where she mentioned his girlfriend to Yukariko had me sitting on edge, waiting to find out if Yuuko’s name would slip out. The accidental meeting between her and Yukko at the school and all the resulting interactions as a consequence of her being able to see Yukko worked perfectly to advance the plot. More than anything, I was impressed by your skill of bringing to life a character that didn't exist in canon so effectively that it's now difficult to imagine anyone else as Teiichi's parent. A talent I was further awed by when reading shadow Yukko's perspective. - It’s so easy to simply perceive the shadow as nothing more than an evil monster when in actuality it's the version of Yukko with her memories, and emotions.

The way you wrote the memory chapters was perfection, you succeeded in capturing all the associated emotions in a way that the manga only managed to gloss over. It was wonderful that you chose to delve further into her past and described what her future goals were as well as other aspects of her personality and family life. I especially appreciated how you portrayed Teiichi’s helpless reactions to each of the events leading to Yukko's death. Truly encapsulating the powerlessness of being a viewer, unable to alter the inevitable outcome. The scene where she was held down and forced to see everyone turn against her while her leg was broken was particularly emotionally effective.

Incorporating how experiencing Yuuko’s memories and notably having to sit with her during each day of her suffering; altered Teiichi’s personality was brilliant. As was Yukko's creation of her younger self, something entirely possible for someone experiencing that level of sudden emotional trauma.

The added part after he woke up from her memories was the perfect addition and much better than canon where she fades away immediately after sharing the memories and forgiving everyone.

Is there going to be a part 41? Because of "To Be Continued..." ending. Bro, your story was a roller coaster of feelings. Loved it! Thank you!

I just don't understand. Why is yuuko so against the L word? Have I missed something because none of this makes sense, same for yuuko's current condition.
That aside I'm relieved for an update; was a little worried for a while.

Just raced through your story. While it did lull a little but around the mid way mark it has gotten a lot better. I implore you to continue. After all the time you have invested, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not finish.
