Also, I love this story so far. It's very good, and I like the original Zanpakutou idea you have and his appearance. It's nice seeing Western Weapons and appearances for a Zanpakutou, it's refreshing considering almost all Zanpakutou tend to be Japanese in origin. And I think I understand what the Light Emperor meant by "He who basks in the brightest light, casts the darkest of shadows." The fact that he shows the ability to not only attack from one direction, but also the opposite, where the shadow is, means that he not only has control over light, but the darkness too. Not like Kyoraku's Shikai, however. I think he means that not only can he attack from where the light comes from, but can also attack from the shadows that it casts with its light. Am I wrong? Also, I hope you come back soon to continue this story. It's very good, and I'd like to see more. Please keep up the good work! :)

So in the first chapter you have Ichigo say Sayonara to the Ishidas. This is an incorrect form of address. Sayonara is used as an absolute final goodbye. Like someone is on their deathbed or you know you will never see them again.
A better for of address if you insist on using Japanese would be “ja ne”. I would however recommend changing it to just “later” as it would fit better. I would also recommend not using words you don’t absolutely know the meaning of.

Why change everything up until this point and then go canon? It makes everything feel pointless. Also, who cares if Yoruichi feels guilty? She is still stalking/spying on him without his consent, going so far as to ogle him when he is naked. It's disgusting and a horrible way to try and start anything between the two. You had something pretty good the first few chapters, but you couldn't keep it going.

Over a year and you haven't updated? Also I prefer Zangetsu as Ichigo's Zanpakuto when it was revealed the Hollow was the true blade.
