This was adorable at the beginning, heartwarming by the end, and the epilogue was absolutely hilarious! You did great with this!

Meet the family, Scout style!

Scout looking so clean-cut that his Ma figured he was Spy in disguise... Sometimes he does pull off the 'innocent college boy' look, his outfits in ' Termination Date' and 'About a Scout' for, instance. Miss. Pauling has domesticated the wild Scout. No one can truly 'tame' a Scout, but they can be trained by positive reinforcement and true love. Of course, occasionally a Scout falls in love with a Sasha minigun and incurs the wrath of an overprotective fat bald Russian mercenary. Such relationships usually end badly.

I enjoyed how she described his personality, how he always worked for whatever he wanted, and never gave up. From being the little runt to the fastest little hoodlum in Southie, from seeing the woman he knew he wanted to spend his life with and taking six years to charm her, and change himself, so that they could be together. He'll be loyal until the day he dies.

Michael is the charming one, eh?

Of course Spy is there. When is he not? And how does no one smell the tobacco? He's such a jerk. Most of the time, anyway.

The part about the ring was touching, Scout's mother has tried hard for so long to do the best for her sons, even if that meant killing someone out to hurt them, (I wonder if they know about that?), and the various men she tried to bring into her life and theirs' seem to have either broke her heart or, like this one, died. She'd almost given up hope for Scout... Liam, and now she's got to be so proud that her baby is married and gonna' be a daddy. When she gave him the ring so that he could propose, that was the Big Feels moment.

'Apparently, 'The condom broke and she got knocked up, Yay!' isn't an appropriate thing on baby cards.'

Miss Pauling gets to enjoy the whole package, fun times with Scout, adorable baby pictures and embarrassing stories from Ma, and a whole clan of crazy Southie boys who'll come to help their kin anywhere, anytime.

Bunny! Scout was always her little bunny... With his bunny teeth! And he still is. He was proud of that time he got with his mom, and he won't give it up, even now.

I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised by the apron joke, Scout is romantic, but he's still crude and not exactly subtle with regards to, well, anything. I bet it impressed Ma when Miss. Pauling put her little iron fist on the table and ordered her boys to behave. Strong, virtually unshakable, ruthless, able to put up with Scout's constant banter and hold her own against anyone not named Helen. She's the perfect match for our Southie boy.

Their kids are going to rule the world. Or destroy it.

Absolutely stunning. I loved all of it, except the apron part. I dunno I just expected a little more repercussions from Ms. Pauling.
