This little story filled me with such deep emotional pain... I swear I didn't just read Sam's grief, I /felt/ it. It permeated every line in this story until each word was bursting with it. Beautifully done. This was, undoubtedly, so very beautifully done. Also, the symbolism of the cross used here was just striking! You have done an excellent job.

P.S. I was originally not logged in when I read this and was going to review as a guest, but I loved it so much I had to wait and log in so I could favorite it. THAT's how much this piece effected me. ;)

This was fantastic! I loved how you handled it. They never really showed the aftermath of the hellhound attack. How Sam acted, how he grieved. This was profoundly sad and I felt every bit of Sam's pain. Well done!

Also, the last line? Wow! Powerful!

This has to be one of the best interpretations of Sam's grief after "NRFTW" ever. This makes mine pale in comparison. Absolutely brilliant! And LOVED that last line, how Dean's grave marker, a simple cross, was not that sign of death, but of life. Beautiful!
