This was excellent. You said so much with so few words. Wonderfully done. I see you've only written two but I really hope you start writing H50 (esp Danny) stories again. The paragraph beginning with "Danny felt his skull explode with pain" for example, was superbly written, an excellent example of your talent.

Just found this little story and I love it! We all know how much Danny lives his little girl and we are told endlessly how he would gladly give his life for her, but it's so refreshing to take that reality a step further and see that Gracie, the Williams progeny that she is, feels exactly the same way towards her father. I think you've got a great sense of the H50 characters, and I, for one, would love to read more stories from you!
