This was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed the weaving of canon moments with your own original plot. And beautifully, cleverly, imaginatively written, as always.

I can only apologise for the length of time it has taken me to come back to this story and offer another review. I can see it's 18 months since I started this for the first time. Life got in the way and I ended up not visiting this site for months. But, when I did come back, I remembered that you were One of the authors I loved to read so I started this again this afternoonand, once again have been completely sucked into the world you have created. You are an astonishing writer and I am thoroughly enjoying these iterations of characters I still love. I'm looking forward to continuing this (probably to the detriment of the essay that I should be writing!)

Ha! I wasn't expecting rumors of Arthur's demise!

I'm so pleased that I finally have some free time to pick up another of your stories - I do love your writing. I very much enjoyed this first chapter - I didn't mind (too much!) the lack of Arthur and Merlin POV because I thought you created such strong characterisations of your Gwen and Freya plus your descriptions of Lionys were wonderfully evocative so they held my attention too. Really looking forward to seeing where you take this - and I noticed it is satisfyingly long!

Arthur was instantly my 1st pick to keep Merlin from changing on the first night, and I did wonder why he wasn't called when I read that particular scene. But his presence on this 2nd night made for a more dramatic and heartfelt story, so I'm pleased. There continues to be good sibling dynamics between Freya & Gwaine. And I think Gwen serves no particular interest as usual. I never did like her character in the show either, probably because I think she never truly loved Arthur...in other words Lance always was her thing. I can't wait for Morgana to make an entrance. I loved the prequel to this story, I'm liking this fic,and I'm sure the sequel will be just as good. In 2016, there are rarely any Merlin fics being written like these anymore. So thank you for these stories dear writer.

That was an epic battle. Im so glad no one died and you kept isolde alive. Yikes merlin totally broke his back didn't he, no one but freya will realize how bad he really was. So cool freya used her magic nicely done, awww they will be so cute together. Oh and do i hint some romance between morgana and lancelot hmmm.

Well thank goodness for merlin all better now. Awww arthur and gwen its even cuter than their tv relationship. I had a sinking feeling about those two unamed knights i mean they were essentially not the most common in arthurs round table. RED SHIRT ALERT! Or in this case red capes ?

So i finally reread and finished vortigern tower which by the way was bloody brillant. Ive skimmed through the collection of the more things change. Very well done i liked the changes.

Now i just had to say snort nauty gwen i wonder if merlin would of pick up on the swap. Awww freya that was so cute in a aweful climatic nail-biting way. That was seen in the crystal. Can't wait for gwaine to meet him. You write that girl so perfectly i love your merlin/freya in every story.

Great story! This is a wonderful AU story, one that I have already recommended to my Merlinian friends. :) I really think this is a better love story for Merlin and Freya especially in execution than what the show had (only one episode? Come on!) The adventure was well thought out and I liked that Morgana was redeemed at the end. The romance was tasteful and the ending was great!

And off to read more of your Merlin stories!

Excellent chapter again. Like Lancelot's and Arthur's taking care of Gwen, and Arthur's and Gwen's playing the game, and... well, everything. This is just written so well! Freya's and Gwen's situations suit them very well, if you know what I mean. I can see Gwen playing chess or checkers or something genteelly with Arthur, and Freya with herbalism and daffodils and everything. Also, Merlin better recover...

I knew Merlin would rescue Freya!

I have to say, I don't usually read romance, but this is very well-written! Freya and Gwen and especially Merlin are all very well characterized. I like your descriptions as well. :)

Brilliant writing! You write very well! I love Gwen's and Enid's switching - can't wait for Arthur to find out - and I hope Merlin rescues Freya soon! (He will, won't he?) I knew the first POV had to be Gwen, but I didn't recognize Freya. The solar sounds like a lovely room. I like everyone's characterization. :D

Well, here we are again! And more time has passed and...well, something's happening. I shall know turn towards the next chapter of this saga!
