So I know it’s been like... a while since you’ve updated, but I love, love, love this story. I really hope you find the inspiration to continue this. The last life seems so promising and I need more. Thank you for sharing this with us though, regardless of whether you choose to continue it.

If I had to say what I loved most about this story it would be how each time period managed to project a different theme. The first story of their meeting, in particular, was wonderfully charming. The Darkling’s innocent curiosity and immediate relatively unguarded interest in Alina was so unlike the person he evolves into as the story progresses. You did a phenomenal job building a history for a character we know so little about. It was interesting to see how his personality changed each time, how all the major events in his life added up to the character we meet in the books.

Certain things worked really well, Genya’s introduction in particular, how Aleksander counted the guards as Alina killed them. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the unique experience of seeing the story told from Baghra’s perspective. I thought you did a convincing job with it. I especially like how her memories of the previous sun Summoners and how they affected her son flashed through her mind during their performance. As well as how your story nicely tied together Baghra’s reaction to hearing Mal’s voice. Oh, and this line was wonderful:

‘“Get out,” she spits at the child who is not a child, who does not know what she has done to them all. Who wants to go back to where it began, back to the valley and back to the amplifier she was promised before she was even born, a promise made by a naïve boy who was not yet a monster.’

This last chapter, where you have the two meet again, the Darkling younger and curious, similar to his first self during their original meeting. I like how you keep circling the plot, I’d love to see them get something resembling a happy ending. In the first chapter you wrote that they lived ten lives together and only one ended happily, did you intend to write ten?

This is incredible. And I'm not just saying that because I think so(I know so).
Baghra is portrayed perfectly, in my opinion. So perfectly. I can only imagine how hard it was to grasp her character.
And her thoughts about the Darkling...
Just. Simply. Amazing.

WOW. I cannot even put into words how much I love this! I love how everything flows and is connected. I also loved the part where Zoya was the one to dub him as the Darkling. I adore that in every life both Aleksander and Alina stay true to themselves and their characters even though they are clearly slightly different in each life. This has so many clever moments and brilliant twists and I would love to see where the story goes next. This hasn't been updated in more or less two years but I sincerely hope that you return to it someday.

I honestly cannot tell you how many times I've read this story and each time I do, I am unable to put it down. It's been two years since the last update, but I'm always hoping you'll update. However, if you don't, I just want you to know you are an excellent writer and your writing is just as immersive as the actual books. Now, I'm going to reread all your Grisha fics again because they are that good.

DAMN! I swear to all the gods if Zoya is the reason he's called the Darkling from now on I'm going to lose my shit because that is too funny and too clever. Love that Zoya is Alina's sister - didn't see the Ivan and Mal husband thing coming either. I'm also totally not surprised that the Darkling killed Mal back in the first life - maybe now he'll realize at least that Alina really doesn't know who he is. This is such a clever and brilliant fic! :)

Oh my god, this is incredible! So the Darkling remembers her because he didn't actually die but this Alina has no idea who he is. Damn. And he's so hurt and sad and God I love how you wrote the entire prison scene - first with the handkerchief that he still has after all these years and then when he was going to kill the "guard" only to realize who she was. Can't wait to read the next part! :)

Damn, guessing that wasn't the happy life then? Seriously though, the set up if this fic is so cool and I can't wait to see what the other lifes are. You're such a great writer and I'm really enjoying this fic :)

Oh wow, this is just lovely. I adored all the things the Darkling would bring her and all the little references to the book!verse you made with what Alina embroidered on them. Can't wait to read the rest of this great fic! :)

This was so wonderfully Written and original. I know you haven't updated Ina while but I do hope you continue this story.

WE'VE BEEN WAITING 4 MONTHS ALREADY AND WE'RE EXPECTING A HELLA LONG CHAPTER

Ma'am, do you know how much I value this particular fic? No. So, I'll tell you. In all the books I've read, the ones I've cried for are: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Clockwork Princess. But, never have I EVER, cried for a fanficiton. And here you come, defying all odds, and making me tear up. I'm afraif my pride didn't let me cry, only shed a tear, but still. It. Is. Huge.
This fanfiction is lovely, with equal pain, love, dark, and everything. Undoubtedly, one of the best fanfictions ever written, it's marvelling. And, because I know it's painful being an author, I just want a sign that you're alive and do not plan on discontinuing this story. No pressure to update. Though, if you can, it would be wonderful. That's all I'll say for now. Okay. Thanks.
