Ah man dude. Was that it? That was the best freakin Rocket and Quill fic I've read yet! And not only that, but it kept its quality all the way through, something that most fanfictions don't do. I know it's been like, years, but I would very much enjoy it if you could find the inspiration to continue. It's so good! Idk. Maybe the Rocket angst in Infinity Wars could re-awaken the drive for this fic. If not, it's okay. But I just want to tell you that this is one of my favs for the gotg fandom. The development, the banter, your general style... it's all very good. Also, that 'friends' line in this chapter struck me hard. Seriously, that was a powerful line. Good job with that.

I was a bit disappointed that you went into PTSD flashbacks of a kind for Rocket since there are many stories out there with that already, but other than that it's been a good story so far. I would love for Roc to be taught about Hansel and Gretel by Peter but only if it was done in a humorous manner. I love the flashbacks of Peter's mother. Rocket seems a little too OOC for my tastes.

I read a sentence in chapter 2 that confused me for a second. Why was Rocket peeing before asking Quill his question about the song? After some googling, I found a dictionary site that listed a second definition for piddle that I never knew. Which is the definition you meant. :D

I just wanted to let you know that where I live, piddle is only ever used as a word for urinating. And it made for a really amusing image here.

Good story! I know it's been a while, but I hope you decide to continue it. I'm all emotionally invested now lol...

This is an excellent story. I like the minimalistic setting. Take away all the technology and you reach the core: a traumatised, talking raccoon with personality issues and a thief/ hero/ leader who never grew up. And their complicated friendship.
The inside views are powerful; the writer uses clever devices like fever dreams and a passing bug to convey their thoughts. Yet, the introspections are subtle enough to remain in balance with the actions the two protagonists perform to get out of a dire situation.
The danger is tangible and the fear is real. Peter and Rocket got stuck and I'm not sure at this point if they'll get out alive. And we, the readers, got stuck too; how symbolic! Waiting in agony for the next chapter. Or even better: the next chapters. There has to be more where this comes from. :)

Ohh, I like it! I really liked the song in the last chapter, too, that's a very nice touch. I've only just gotten into Guardians of the Galaxy, it's a shame that no one's really updating any of the stories. All well, you did a really great job on this and I can't wait to see how it ends :)
