OH OKAY JUST GONNA GO CRY NOW

i remember reading this fic back in 2014/2015 (i don’t think dear brother was even finished yet) and i was so excited to see that more chapters had been added since then! i deleted my old ffn account ages ago and lost track of a lot of fics, but i’m really glad i came back to this one. i was in love with it then and i fell in love all over again now.

the plot had me immediately invested just like before and your portrayal of all the characters is so thoughtful. i loved seeing how everyone’s relationships were affected by ed becoming a child again, and i especially adore the relationship between roy and ed here. i teared up so many times, there are a ton of really hard-hitting and emotional moments. also your OCs (kale and bri in particular) are delightful and so well-developed!

i was really excited to see how the plot would progress from here - i’m sure you didn’t mean to abandon this fic, seeing as you had around 20 chapters planned out... i just hope you’re doing alright and staying safe. it would be lovely if you came back to this one day, but if not then thank you for writing such an amazing and captivating story so far, and i wish you all the best. 3

This is the most 'BRUTAL' cliffhanger I've ever read, especial know I'll probably never get a conclusion. This was an amazing story, words can not express how many times I cried, it was absolutely beautiful, emotional and masterful in every way. I'm glad I found it, my only regret is that I can't read it again for the first time

This story is absolutely incredible! I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I enjoyed reading this. Roy and Riza as Ed's parents are totally kick butt and amazing! All the feels I'm getting from this story really make my day. So much stuff has happened throughout this story it's hard to pinpoint my favorites. Ed's encounter with Greed made me laugh, and I hope we'll see more of Greedling soon! I got really excited when you revealed that there was a second promise day coming up, and my mind is going crazy trying to figure out how it's going to go down. I love Ed's relationship with everyone around him, and you did an incredible job with his personality as Edward Mustang. Steelcore made me laugh as well! When Ed found Al I was so excited and close to crying, and May and Edmund were awesome! This story took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I know I'm going to come back and read this multiple times in the future regardless of whether it's finished. I hope you can one day pick up where you left off in this story. Good luck with your writing!

Started rereading this fanfic a few days ago and it felt like I was reading it for the first time again. Can't say I wasn't disappointed that it stopped here because I was becoming real invested again just like I was before. Anyways, hope you've been well. I recently watched FMA live action, which made me want to revisit it again. The first thing that came to my mind is to reread this story. It's been years since I last read it, and honestly I'm pretty excited to read it again. This is honestly one of the best FMA fanfics I know. I just found this fic after getting back into FMA after years and years away from it. This is one of the most favorited stories in this series on the website, and that's for a reason. It makes me really sad to see that it hasn't been updated in like 3 and 1/2 years, but life happens. Things get in the way. I understand and hope you the best with whatever you are doing now. You are an amazing writer and I love this story. Ed is both true to his original character and this new side of him. You write his interactions woth Roy so believingly, and I love it. I've always loved Parental!RoyxEd for a reason, and this story takes the cake. I've reread through it twice now and I will probably keep reading through it several more times. My favorite scene overall has to be from the last chapter where Ed comes home from Resembool to Roy. That whole scene was amazing. Also Ed's fears that Hohenheim was there to take him away was just so good. Especially on the heels of Ed worrying that he'd done something to make Roy send him away.
At least you gave us a note that Roy was not infact dead at the end of this, but man. What a cliffhanger. Simply amazing work and I hope this reaches you and brightens your day!

Well, I’ll be following your profile in case you ever update this. Or even just start new stories. At first, this was just a standard deaging story. The difficulties of memories, second childhood, and new familial bonds were to be expected. However, there’s also a real plot in this that is not often seen in the genre. It isn’t just slice-of-life wacky antics. You’ve taken into consideration the affect of deaging onto the main plot and have made appropriate changes. This is probably the best deaging fic if any fandom that I’ve read.

Further, there is at least some attempt at a rational explanation. Not just hand waving magical bullshit. It does make at least some sort of sense that, with a cost such as his and Edward’s near-death startle that alchemy wouldn’t bring him back to full health. Alchemy isn’t often used for healing like that, and Al was being very non-specific, so Truth had a bit of fun with it.

I’ve really enjoyed reading this. I didn’t think I’d grow to like your OCs nearly as much as I did. Your way of dealing with the new relationship dynamics is also interesting. It isn’t simply the deaged character being treated as a child, but an odd mixture of that and an adult. This is particularly noticeable with Al. I realize you’ll probably not update this any time soon. I’ve enjoyed the experience regardless. A shame it cut off right when some of the plot things were starting to amp up, but it was still an enjoyable read.

Shit. I thought Hohenheim would show up eventually, but I hadn’t realized he had been working with Roy all these years. How did that happen? When did that happen?
