I can't believe you haven't done Toby's POV before, your depiction of how Toby handled and felt guilty about the shooting. Amazing story. Really well-written, very powerful, very Toby-ish. I love your writing, I really do. You have such a good grasp on the characters and their friendship and loyalty and love for one another. It all feels so very, very right. I love the way this story progresses, from the specific to the general, all interconnected. And Toby's thoughts and memories are really well painted and very much in-character - his guilt and everything. Anyway, I can't tell which parts were best...suffice to say that the whole thing was amazing and if you're wondering what kind of things you should do when you write and what kind of things you shouldn't, you should write like this all the time.
