Sorry, I disagree with you here. Saying "Oops! You accidentally caused the death of 100 people, but hey - you've saved millions" does not excuse Superman. He SHOULD have checked the pillar more thoroughly for damage; he should have the capability to detect it.

Good thing that Dick understands his dad so well :) And that Supes knows his friend's prickly nature and how to handle it :)

Well done! I really like how you portrayed both Dick and Clark...and I loved how you brought out a situation that could really happen (but you don't see in comics) and the after effects from it. The discussion between the two of them unfolded really nicely, and I love how you brought up the point that Dick would always defend Bruce without masking the fact that he can be a real jerk.
Again, this was an awesome one shot! Oh, and great ending :)

Wow! That was such a good little story.

This was so sweet, I love Uncle Clark! I really liked the line "You know I'll defend him to my dying breath, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize that sometimes he's an a**hole". I think that described Bruce and Dick perfectly. I also like that Dick is the only bat that doesn't have the superpower of masking feelings, but he got the power of being more susceptible to others emotions. I also think it was great that Dick used an Elephant as an example of what he was trying to say to Clark, that is totally Dick! Great one shot!

This is so sweet. I have always loved the friendship between Bruce and Clark. But, I have always felt that doesn't what Bruce spouts off sometimes hurts Clark? Enter Nightwing. Considering that Dick was a fan of Superman from a young age, I think he would be the one to understand how Superman would be feeling. I absolutely loved the end bit. Bruce is a bit of an asshole, and I don't really know what would Bruce do without Dick. Using the elephant as an analogy plus the quote was pretty awesome. I loved this cute one-shot. Thanks for writing this :)
