*cracks up* Ed's reaction to that first mugger is *priceless*. Priceless and absolutely perfect! That said, I think the tone of this fic is just right. The mood whiplash elements are nicely in-line with similar moments in canon.

And, hilarious as it is to see Ed's response to the various petty criminals (and *their* reactions to *him*), your serious moments are spot-on too. I especially love how you handled Ed finally agreeing to Mustang's plan, keeping it entirely from Mustang's point of view and leaving it to the reader to just *know* Ed's thinking of Al.

This is great! I couldn't stop laughing. I'm actually still grinning. I love how the criminals treated the murderer like a demon, and how they were all pouting in jail about Ed's lack of fear.
