I found this story as I was reading through some other FF on the Last Ship and LOVED it. This was so unique and well-written. I loved how you twisted the personalities of the characters without it seeming too far-fetched and Halsey was so, so, so awesome here. Since this is an older story, I'm guessing that you are done writing it but I would love to see more. And you've inspired me to try reading Anne Bishop's books!

Wow, what a finale! But I am convinced that Rachel, our ‘Queen’, and not just in this, ;-) is NOT gone...no way no how, doesn’t make any sense...she will rise again! But regardless we are embarking on a very long hiatus and fic is the plan to get through it, both writing and hopefully a lot of reading. I still think about this story and your Last Ship universe a lot and I ready hope you can come back to it and give this beautiful creation some more of your love sometimes soon, I would REALLY like to know what happens next. Of course I do very well understand when writers block hits...now theres a serious and terrible disease! lol If I can help in any way, I would love to help you bounce ideas around...just PM me. :-)

I have read your story and I am obsessed with it. I've noticed that you have trouble nailing down your muse (you mention in the beginning of some chapters; I'm not a stalker) and something that's helped me in the past is too write little fluff pieces that don't really play a role in the overall plot. For example some moments of Rachel and Tom or some banter between Halsey and Green

I really enjoyed this chapter, I like the action sequences but I am really looking forward to seeing more of the personal relationships and agendas develop now that Rachel’s caste as queen is known and of course the addition of a second young queen onboard too. I am eager to read how that dynamic develops. Really interested to find out what Rachel decided will be Quincy’s ‘punishment’. I wonder if there will be trouble for the other crew if they find it too lax, or will they let bygones be bygones in light of their successful resolution to the situation and having his wife and daughter back with him, the reason for his duplicity is now gone. Also really curious about the hints that have been dropped about Rachel’s health and how it relates to potions she’s been taking. This is great, you’ve got me hooked and I hope you can update soon. :-D

I was very excited to see that you had updated the story. All the facets of the rescue were well thought out. Specially, Kara and Danny's moment in the Verny was nice to experience and it was like watching the show. The chapter surpassed my expectations, thank you for updating.
