I totally love this story and have since I read it the first time years ago. I decided to read it again and just binged the whole thing today. Your writing is so clever and deep, and this story just had everything a Bethyl shipper could want.
Also, this line still makes me giggle years later: "Lord help me," she sighed, looking at the ceiling. "It's like God pressed repeat."
I think that's the mark of a good writer :)

I enjoyed this. I haven't read someone else's story since finishing my own, mostly because it takes so much time and effort to write something worthwhile as I'm sure you know. And then to actually put it out there? I know how tough it can be, especially when everyone has their own idea on who these characters are and how they want to see them written. I'm not usually a fan of the whole kid thing and usually avoid stories where accidental pregnancies or babies in general come into play. I actually liked what you did here though and thought the addition was very well integrated. It didn't detract from the story and that's the first time I think I've ever thought that! I liked how you wrote all the characters, not just Daryl and Beth and the dialog between them all was believable. I tend to gravitate towards stories that stay within TWD world as well so that was a plus. Mine is very much the same way - no original characters while expanding on what is already known... so I appreciated that, especially when they are so few and far between and worthwhile ones are damn hard to find. Anyway, I liked your Beth and loved your Daryl. I've always preferred when he's written pissed off so you had him down without softening him up too much (as some writers tend to do once love or kids come into the scenario). Overall, from one writer to another, this was a really good read so well done.

I don't think Daryl would go off to look for Merle. Not now. But I do like how you tweaked the story here to have Merle the guy that Joe's group is following. I just hope this is resolved quickly.

Oh, wow. That was intense. But, I actually prefer your version than TWD's. At least Lizzie didn't get a chance to kill her sweet little sister.
