I know this is marked complete and I do like it, but it feels like it is almost missing something, like maybe his first time with a bow. To show he's in more control with it? I do still like it overall.

I really enjoyed this. :) I think that too often in fics, Kili is portrayed as the weaker one. But I can't help but notice that in the movies, he's more than ready to jump into a fight, and he seems to enjoy it. He's got such a lovely, fierce grin.

I could certainly picture something like this in his back-story. :D

Ok... ok... Ending made me laugh internally (could not do it aloud - public and so on). xD Atmosphere in the beginning was intense, heavy, make me curious and interested. But ending made me love this fic. 3

Ooh, interesting. I've always had the headcanon that Kili was a bit useless with other weapons, which is why he had the bow, but I really like your idea, they gave it to him to rein in a temper! Great story, as always. :)
