So far so good. :3 I like how the events are adding up and how it makes you feel for Discord. So many questions...I can't wait for the next chapter ! :)

I'm kind of sorry that I didn't read this sooner. I really like the potential here, especially if Celestia gives Discord the title of 'Prince of the Night' to give him responsibility, purpose, and a way to feel connected to Luna until her return. Besides, he's her legal son, it should fall to him anyway.
I can imagine the next few centuries being lonely for him, but I should think that ponies more or less accept his presence after a few generations and possibly him helping out in dreams.
I bet the dream world would be the only place Discord would feel comfortable for a long time. It's pretty much the perfect place for chaos.
Poss. idea; if he can enter dreams too, would that be how he meets Fluttershy? I bet she has nightmares all the time.

For your first time writing for MLP, I think this was a very good chapter. That does seem like the thing Luna would do, being the best princess. (Only my opinion! I know a lot of ponies prefer Twilight, Celestia, and Cadence!)
