Reviews for Resting End
Tawnykit chapter 1 . 5/13/2005
Aww... Schala comes for him in the end. _
Caorann fridh Bronach chapter 1 . 5/1/2005
Very moving, so terribly morose. All the one-syllable words make the reading slower and more like a grave chant.

A lot of the imagery, like the lips curling into a smile and the talk of blood was very easy to see. And it reminded me of a vampire, for some reason, which gave me an added visual.

Bittersweet is probably the better word for mood, actually. Great way to toy with emotions, speaking of how happy death can be...but it is still death nonetheless.

You stay with great rhymes and meter, as usual.

The juxtaposition of life and death in the second stanza really catches the attention and makes me think, which as you ought to know by now, I love to do.

My favorite part was that "he found only darkness, his soul's resting end." And that is exactly what the first and third stanzas are about, which gives the entire poem a circular effect and thereby good closure.

Wow, what can I say? That was schwiggidy schwaggin fantastic. My poems aren't nearly as good as that, but then again I've never really given a large effort to do them. Your work here has inspired me, to try to post poetry on her again. Did I say it was fantastic?
