How can Jiraiya just accept one of Orochimaru's lackey? She assisted in killing the Third Hokage and as a Sannin and Ex-student of the Third, Jiraiya must have read the report/been informed how he died. Spy-masters thrive on information and it would be more reasonable to have had one of the toads carry her back to Konoha for the TI division to extract the necessary information. If she can redeem herself, then she could be instated as a konoha-nin after proving her loyalties..
