This story was great. Everyone was in character and I just couldn't stop reading. Good job.

A calm manner seems to surround the telling of this story and it matched the mood precisely. I adored the details of the weather, the flashbacks, and the intimate details Shikamaru shares about this friend Ino. You communicate a closeness that goes beyond just teammates and I enjoy the way you delve into your stories. Thanks so much for sharing your stories!

Great story. I really liked that you included all the guests' activities during the party. Also, I think it only natural for Ino to have such thoughts - I've actually done a similar thing with her in a fanfic I wrote years ago - in Norwegian though.

The scene where they talked was just so genuine them, I mean, I can LITERALLY hear the voices say the lines and move to the pattern you describe. And such a sweet kiss on the cheek in the end. - And OH! I love the 'you could have shared it would someone even more troublesome' line. It's totally awesome!

If I'm to 'complain' about something it would have to be that I was really looking forward to their kiss. Oh well, I guess it wouldn't be natural in that situation. But still ;P ;)

I don't ship ShikaIno anymore, but your fics of them are so so so good that I can't help but want for them to be together sometimes. The way you write them reminds me a lot of those couples that just have fun and grow old together, y'know? (Funny, given the content of this fic.) But their relationship's a really heartwarming one, and you picture it perfectly. I think this was a perfect piece for their birthday (which I forgot, too. . .)!

I loved it! :) it was very sweet and shikaino-y. And don't feel bad because the whole Shikaino community kinda fell short this year, me being one too! I normally have tons of ideas to write for their birthdays, but this year I got nothing.

Anyway I loved the story, and I love your writing style! Keep up the awesome work! :)
