How many times have I praised your h/c stories? I'm running out of ways to compliment you. I kinda thought the way to snap him out was to succeed in saving a brother and lo and behold, Athos needed saving. Vengeful Angel is right. Do not mess with the family. 10/10

You made my heary bleed with sorrow then stitched it back up and surrounded it with healing comfort with this story. Truely this was one of the best fan fics I've read because it was original and so true to the BBC characters. Seriously well done and thankyou for a new story to read whenever i feel like being inspired!

What a heartfelt fic! You did a great job writing this sorrowful tale. d'Artagnan just shutting down like that is understandable, and Athos, Aramis, and Porthos' reactions to this were just so real. I was happy to see d'Artagnan finally start the healing process after breaking down, it'll be a long road, but with his brothers there, he'll come through the end. :)

Wow, that was intense! I loved the beginning with d'Artagnan playing with Pierre. I could so see that scene playing out. The grief was very realistic as it does strange things to people. I love the way his brothers brought him back from the darkness. Well done!

You're back! I've read all your fics and was wondering when you would post again. You did post 10 fics in the space of a month so if you needed a breather I understand. But I was so happy to read this! As if Athos didn't already see himself in d'Art you go and give him a younger brother who died as well ;) Of course it would be Athos getting hurt that finally snapped d'Art out of it. I loved Athos yelling at him out of anger and fear, as it all stems from love. His feelings for the boy run so deep it touches that part of Athos he keeps locked away. Please continue writing "the usual" for many more fics to come :D

Excellent h/c and well-written scenes with D'Art playing with the child, Athos giving D'Art some tough love and the horseplay with Porthos at the end. Very good fic. Most enjoyable.

Another great story of the lengths these four men will go through to stand by one another. As one man struggles, the others struggle along beside him. I liked D'Artagnan's playfulness with the orphans at the beginning. It seems true to his character and makes you like him all the more. I also liked Athos' worry over D'Artagnan, even to the point that Aramis and Porthos worry that they will lose them both. My favorite line was the last one. A bright way to end the story. Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us!
