Great story! There are some spelling mistakes, and some sentenced where you mixed up the past-tense with the present (story should be all past), but it came out great anyways, and I had to look twice to find those mistakes, because I corrected them in my head as I was reading. I'd love to read a sequel of this, I'll check your profile after finishing this. Great story, great character development, and thanks for making Udina the traitor. could wait long enough for that to happen. I think the amount of reviews and favourites shows that I'm not the only one who thinks about the story like I have written above. Awesome stuff!

Udina should've slapped her bitch ass for talking smack and threatening him like this. No one forced her to join the military,she signed away her rights the moment she chose to become a cannon fodder.

This was an awesome AU. Very well written and enjoyable to read. I particularly liked how you brought in the alien crew members into their lives in a realistic manner for this universe and explored the customs of the Turians when involved.

I really enjoyed reading this story! I felt like it was a real breath of fresh air with the AU nature of it. I also enjoyed the slow paced relationship building between Shepard and Garrus. You did an exceptional job with this story and I'm so glad that you saw it through to completion. The ending was fantastic and really brought everything full circle.

I understand that Udina must act like a complete bastard, but you made him look mostly like a fool. Not diplomat, not ambassador, not politician. Simply an idiot who cannot do his work right.
Is that on purpose? Because it makes humans look bad.

Kinda disappointed that Udina didn't have a better speech. like he could have brought up this issue of the STG, or the Spectre's, and made parallels between the way these groups operate is no different than cerberus. Or he could have been more savvy in his rebuttal of the charges against him. When I think of Udina, I think of an evil Tyrion lanister.
