I love this story! But...where's the post? I was trying to find it.

Ah, love the ending; bitter and hurtful words before now turned to teasing, sweet ones. The three Amigos, irreplaceable, inseparable, unbreakable. I'm sure Joaquin and Maria were floored after finding out just what exactly had caused all their troubles to begin with; what role that blasted medal played in it all, or rather, who, exactly, had absolutely everything to do with... well, everything that had happened! Wow, this is why I adore the film. The Book of Life lives up to its title to the fullest. The story is filled with life, love, beauty, and gem-like lessons worth treasuring for life. All that is good can be seen and found in the tale of the two gods of death and the three friends living in a quaint Mexican town. And this piece... oh, the feels! I very much enjoyed this! Lovely one shot!

This is really a very beautiful story.
The writing flows wonderfully and the usage of present tense adds to the frantic tone of the beginning, sorrowful tone in the middle, and peaceful tone at the end. Everything was just perfect. I love how you wrote Joaquin, it's so in character and I really do wish something like this was added into the movie.
Overall, though, I really love this! You did an amazing job.
