I probably need to explain the shout of traps in my blurb of a review back in chapter one.

Flying Buffalo (and later others) published several books of traps to be adapted and used in whatever game you're playing. (The six-skull specials are to be looked at askance to be believed...)

Well...the only way to get Harry through 7 years at Hogwarts in 40K words is to tell us the story as opposed to showing us. It feels more abbreviated than that due to the quick ending. I guess you could have made it even faster by saying, "Tom dies. The end" However the feeling is like you just got tired of writing and wanted this done. I did enjoy reading it when you expanded it and allowed some dialogue. I also liked the idea of your plot showing what the effects of an abusive childhood would have on an older Harry. I hope you keep writing and thank you for sharing this work.

Many people have written "What if Harry wasn't so much of an idiot?" stories, but you tied your reason Harry is less trusting and more cunning into his upbringing, which you're right, would definitely cause him to be a much more Slitherin person than canon shows us. Thanks again for the story.

By which you mean you're yet another edgelord with zero subtlety who thinks abuse must always equal beatings. Great. Sure. Never mind that the one instance of attempted physical harm on Vernon's part got him essentially shocked by the very magical protection that is the entire reason Harry lives there in the first place. The skewed perspective on what is normal and insistence on solving things with minimal adult involvement are far more believable than any of this Edgy the Hedgie crap that fanfic writers seem to love so much.

Nice story. I just wish there had been more detail for some of the events like the Triwizard Tournament tasks, etc. This read more as a summary of events rather than a story. Wish there had been more Harry/Ginny moments. As it stands, that could have been left out of the story altogether and not really affected the story any.
