Such an interesting idea for the Grimm. An intelligent and sentient subspecies. I might borrow that idea for a story of my own (assuming I could accommodate and integrate that aspect).

Whenever I get back to it... that is... (likely after I get a career job in private sector or the equivalent in military).

Wow. That bit with the Grimm was a pleasant surprise.

Now I have to admit, I did particularly like this chapter. At least the ending of it. It fleshed out Jaune enduring hardship, and showing strength all throughout, inspite of his near death exhaustion and low endurance. Even the admiration from Emerald's adoptive father is a nice touch.

I probably could say the same thing for Weiss, but all through out RWBY, she just does not have that intensity allure like the majority of the cast do. She just does not seem as combatant as every other character gives the image of being. And part of that is why she is my least favorite character in the series.

I'm only still reading the story because I'm intrested in Adam making an appearance and seeing the impact that he'll cause now. I don't particularly care much for this alternative story of intelligent Grimms and the OC's that come with them. I do not particularly care for Weiss having Grimm sex, whether that be with a Beowulf or one of these OC's. (Although, the concept of Grimm procreating with humans actually does give them the threat that they are lacking in the original series. Like a combination of "Anacondas: Hunt for the Blood Orchid" how certain plants makes a species evolve, and the "Alien" series of feeding their eggs to people as parasites.) But I'm just intrested in Jaune's female collections, and, seeing how the White Fang is heavily involved, Adam raising hell. Call me basic, but I came here for romance and adventure of certain characters, rather than anything else that strays me from them.

With this said, I heavily encourage you to make your story how you want to, regardless of my personal criticism. You seem to have given this all some thought.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this. Took me a bit to realize that the Kaidon are basically the Sabghelli. But it's done well. I know you haven't touched this in over 2 years, but I do hope you'll return to it.

I liked the battle sceenes. Though now that they have evidence that the old Schnee is suplying the enemy with tech, will they finally take him out? I mean c'mooon! They all saw the White Fang had the two prototype atlesian warships with Schnee tech AND they have the conversation decoded, so that's more than enough in my book to take quick action and take out the elder Schnee so Winter or Weiss can take his place.

Good fighting skills with preference for close quarter combat... check

Cloacking tech for persons and ships... check

Yup, the Kaidons are totally like the Yautja race now. All they missing is shoulder mounted canons.
