Wow. It has been a long time since I've been here. Was thinking about this fic not long ago and went about 20 chapters back so that I could re-read this awesomeness then saw you were still working on it!

I love how you're diverging from the storyline and I'm so happy the Citadel DLC is included in this! I'm excited to see how this clone situation plays out, and how strange it is that the clone appeared at the restaurant hmm, I don't trust you at all :p But YAY to the engagement anyway! About time! They were able to have 3 seconds of cuteness, must be a record!

I'm still really loving this story, and it's good to hear that you're doing okay! I've missed you and Distance, and I can't wait to see what else you get up to! :)

Poor Kaiden. He can't seem to catch a break mentally can he? He wants his Gina and now here is the clone that Cerberus made. Not fair!

Oh man, it's always so nice to see Jack! She's such a powerhouse, and forceful enough that she lights up any scene she's a part of. I'm always glad to see that Cerberus didn't break her, even after all the horrors she went through. And Mama Bear Jack is the absolute ibest/i. This is one of the most atmospheric missions in the game - Cerberus really levels up as villains here, especially in all the notes you find lying around - and WOW is it terrifying to fight those YMIR mechs! Poor Gina, getting thrown around the room.

The banter is the perfect note to end the chapter on - James, you rogue, you!

Okay, so ... seriously? I adore how you write Shenko. It's the ship that brought us together and it's still my favorite that you write. I mean, I love everything you write but there's something so ... I dunno ... I digress.

One thing that continues to strike me as I read your work is how you've grown with description. I know I've said it before by holy shit, I often have a physical reaction to the images you give me. The husks like pale spiders, the small bodies, the gleam of the metal of Gina's limbs.

I love that you gave Gina a way to be more accepting of her body. Seeing what could have happened and that, while awful and hard to accept, her limbs are not the worst case scenario.

I love Gina and Kaidan, their bond, their relationship, all of it and I can't wait to see where you take them next. I think I may be looking forward to their shore leave more than they are.
