Something that occurred to me: how can ash’s former friends claim they are better than him when they all have lost to him in battle? None of them (except Brock once) have ever beaten him (not counting trip since in your fic he’s not really a friend also not counting the one on one Pikachu had with electavire) and they think they are better?
Nice chapter and I hope ash will start gaining some intelligence compared to his tv appearances (still can’t belive that they have him as 10 through all of the series when each series spans months in the show at a time)
