That's too bad you have to end it. I would love to see middle-aged Seto and Kisara. I could see Kisara changing careers. Kaiba could finance her ph D in psychology and she could become a marriage counselor specializing in sex therapy. They could make a dragon baby. As far as what the fourth trial would look like, I don't have the imagination for the supernatural stuff. I really hope you don't kill off Kisara!

I'm kind of relieved by this chapter. I totally bought that she was pregnant and they were really happy. I thought you were getting ready to kill Kisara off. Isn't that how it always goes? So she can't have kids because she has a dragon uterus? lol.

I'm a little confused about the dragon. If the dragon was Kisara, why was she in the rubble?

I always thought it was ridiculous that Kaiba launched himself into the afterlife. Like he “died” just to duel Atem again. Lol

I really enjoyed the introspection of Kaiba these past two chapters, and his concerns about their compatibility; it's been really interesting getting to watch him struggle to make sense of it all.

So, they knew each other at the orphanage and he saved her from being kidnapped by a pedophile? How could he have forgotten that? It seems like she forgot that too until just now. I wonder why he would have blocked that out.

At first I couldn't figure out Seto's motivation for staying for a few days, but then I realized he's being NICE since she's so jacked up. Well, I guess anything's possible. This side of him is making me uncomfortable. Where's the aloof jerk we all know and love? I'm sure he'll show up in the next chapter. I'm looking forward to seeing Kisara put him in his place.

I'm so glad you wrote a new chapter, but it's such a cliffhanger! I hope you write another chapter soon. Will Seto decide Kisara is just too much to handle or will he continue to see how this relationship plays out? I could see him giving her an ultimatum on the cigarettes and all those cats. I just can't see him tolerating that forever, well maybe if the sex continues to be great. I really like that you are acknowledging the whole past lives aspect of their relationship because it's an interesting concept. How much of their personalities and passions are dictated by these past lives and how much is determined by their present life experiences? Are we destined to love what we loved and excel at what we excelled at in our past lives? Hmmmm... Personally I think Kisara is trying define their relationship too soon! Who of us is NOT guilty of doing that? And if events of the past are doomed to repeat themselves, they are not in the clear yet because ancient Seto saved Kisara three times before she died saving his life. 1. from the slave traders 2. from being stoned by small minded villagers and 3. from a weirdo trying to get her dragon to appear. Hmmm.. what would that look like to be reenacted in the present tense? I'm also very curious how her dragon soul is going to play out.

I'm so disappointed this is the last chapter. I hope you will continue on with this story because you have a real gift. You have made Seto Kaiba delightfully three dimensional and Kisara into a character that could actually hold his interest. I am embarrassed to say how much time I've spent fantasizing about him, but even in the fantasies I control he inevitably makes me cry from sheer neglect. You have captured this essence of him here - though he is not cruel he is not good boyfriend material. His emotional trauma runs deep and on the surface, hence all the scars on his body. I love the two of them together as you have conjured them - so damaged, yet resilient. And holy sex on a stick your smutty chapters were so hot I literally broke out in a sweat. This is my first foray into reading fan fiction. I read a few not so great ones before coming across "Reluctant Surrender" and I fear I will just be disappointed after this masterpiece. I wish you well!
