I love it. The dark twist fits in this one. Shunsui has always been overprotective and here he finally gets a reason to. It shows that their bond could be so much more. A beautifully written piece.

Very dark and very poignant. I love the intensity and the depth of their personalities. This strikes very close to home in some ways; it's a gorgeous piece. Not just gore for horror's sake, but a fascinating glimpse into a very dark side of human nature. The portrayal of Shunsui is perfect - no man with his powers can just be a lazy alcoholic. I can definitely see him playing with his kills

I love this story so much. It's believable. It shows darkness in humanity. It shows strong ties of friendship. It shows a depth of love. I hope you write more of them.

Very late at reviewing this, but I'd like to say...this was done very well! I always hear this fanfic in many suggestions/recommendations from others. :)

I really hope Kubo could incorporate some dark elements in their interactions within the manga too. Because this fic is amazing at exploring what could have possibly transpired about Nanao's past (or describing Shunsui's regrets & past battle exp. as a senior captain). And I really love the sexual tensions between them hehe.

Oooh, I liked this. Loved how you captured their personalities so well, and yet explored a different side of them, only hinted at typically. Yes, it was dark, but in an excellent way.

I loved every single detail of this story. And to add, as a 7-year devoted Shunsui fangirl, I have been thoroughly entertained by everything Shunsui did. No doubt Kubo would make something like this happen. Nanao having a dark past, but little does she know Shunsui has had a history of darkness and bloodshed. They've both lost their minds to anger on people at some point in their lives.

The best part of this story was Shunsui's seductive ways while explaining himself to her. This is why he understands her situation. Not just a mere 'crush'. Also at the end of the story, great form of closure to Nanao's painful childhood experience.

Well done. I haven't had a story grab me this way in a long time. I recommend someday you write a series of chapters between these two. ShunxNana is forever after all.
