Dark and painful, but totally relatable.

This fic was always a difficult one but my love for your work didn't allow me to skip it. You have an unique way of describing feelings that I need more and more of and I got my fill in This last chapter. Even though it would be nice to see a happy ending in this one. Or maybe this was the happiest they can get? Anyway, thank you for sharing, I enjoyed this chapter very much despite its heaviness.

You're right, this was a hard fic to read. I can not for the life of me imagine anyone wanting to beat the living shit out of Lauren. Thank you for putting this out there, it must have taken a lot of courage. I LOVE your work and this was no exception.

Well I must say Bravo. Overall I've been a little MIA. No writing, reading etc but finally found a little time and as it turns out yours is the first I've come across. I am not disappointed. You've always been such a good writer, very talented. One of my favorites but as I've been away I've missed a story or two and now coming back just wow seem to have outdone yourself as hard as it seems to believe since the bar was high already. So to sum it up...Bravo lol

This chapter was very hard to read, the hurt and soreor. The pain people put themselves through just to feel, makes my heart ache.

Wow, I did not read the first 2 chapters. It is very emotional. I can only hope Bo can help Lauren overcome what she has inside of her. Touched me.

This new chapter is powerful. Well done. The premise of this story is one I've not seen before, yet makes perfect senseof course* it's possible for depression and addiction to be expressed by extreme masochism. I've never read anything like this; even some of the BDSM classics don't dig this deeply. And what you accomplish here without dialogue is impressive.

I had to reread the last chapters to figure out what was going on and wow, that was a hard hitter.
It's a sad, devastating, and terrible story, but a deep, well written, and emotional one as well

I'm really glad you decided to build on the one-shot and give us a 360 degree view. Between Lauren's all-consuming despair and the religious undertones of Bo's entire situation, there is a lot of saving going around and I really love the less traditional way that you captured that. These two chapters are no doubt powerful on their own, but I wouldn't complain if you chose to expand ;) thanks for posting another great story! Definitely an interesting read.

these two chapters make a cohesive pair just as they are, but I would love to read a chapter(s) in which they have some heavy conversation in the aftermath. but again, this was brilliantly devastating. Your ability to capture intense and complex emotions is a rare skill!
